Founded in response to the growing challenges faced by vulnerable populations in Nigeria, DACT (Development and Assistance Charity Team) began as a grassroots movement driven by compassion, faith, and a commitment to social transformation. From small-scale outreaches to fully-structured programmes, our journey has been shaped by a deep desire to restore dignity, hope, and opportunity to the underserved.
What started with feeding a few hungry families has grown into a multi-impact initiative reaching orphans, widows, street children, people with disabilities, and entire communities in need. Over the years, we’ve launched sustainable interventions across education, health, economic empowerment, clean water access, emergency relief, and more. Our work is rooted in love for humanity, guided by faith, and powered by the unwavering belief that lasting change begins with one act of kindness at a time.

Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, and DACT is committed to providing underprivileged children with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Through our Sponsorship Program, we offer scholarships, learning materials, and mentorship, ensuring that children in need receive quality education.
Widows often face multiple challenges, from financial instability to emotional distress, making it difficult for them to regain their independence. DACT’s Widow Support Programme provides comprehensive assistance, including financial aid, vocational training, and emotional care, empowering widows to rebuild their lives.
We empower young people by providing vocational training, entrepreneurship development, and life skills mentorship. Our programs are designed to equip them with the tools they need to create sustainable livelihoods, build confidence, and take on leadership roles. By fostering creativity, resilience, and civic responsibility, we help youth become agents of positive change in their communities.
Underserved and remote communities have benefited from our education, empowerment, and health programmes—creating ripple effects of growth, resilience, and long-term impact across regions.
